What does direct mean in astrology?
Ordinary forward motion through the zodiac, which is what a planet does the great majority of the time. The word only exists because the alternative does: a planet that has been retrograde and resumes its normal direction is said to station direct, and that day is often read as the point where something that had stalled starts moving again. Everything except the Sun and Moon goes retrograde at some point; those two never do.
