What are the lunar nodes?
The two points where the Moon’s path crosses the Sun’s, always exactly opposite each other. They are not bodies; nothing is there. The tradition reads the North Node as the direction of growth and the South as what comes easily and is worth leaving. Eclipses happen when a New or Full Moon lands near them.
Where astrologers disagree
The Moon’s path wobbles, so there is a mean node (averaged) and a true node (exact). They differ by up to two degrees. This chart uses the mean node, which is the older convention.
